He knew it was going to happen

At this point, it really is a good thing he loves me. We painted an entire house, then sold it and moved across the country, lived in a rental house for 6 months, bought a house with BORING beige walls, and have lived in it for 6 months. How long did he think I would last? I HATE beige!!!

These paint samples are now hanging on the wall in the front entry. He HATES to paint as much as I HATE beige, but he is so darn good at it. Since we are getting some tax money back, my wheels have been spinning. I NEED color!!. And I dislike flat paint all over the house. It's time for some eggshell/semi gloss color. This would be the color for the main living space. Bedrooms and offices would be different. My favorite is the middle one. It's called Metro Mist.

** Also considering putting in an electric fireplace, a sliding glass door, painting the exterior of the house, and buying some furniture. Don't tell him. I think he is starting to break out in hives every time we talk about it. LOVE YOU HONEY!!! Good news, the tax money won't cover all that, so we will have to do it in stages when cash is available. LOVE YOU HONEY!! **

Finally adding some things to the wall outside my studio

Slowly, but surely, I am adding art and pictures to the walls of our new house. We have been here 6 months. At what point do I stop saying new house?

This is a wall outside my studio. I found the arrow and metal words at Hobby Lobby. I really wanted an arrow, when I discovered this on lit up, I was completely SOLD. I love it. As always, my kids think I am strange. Oh well, some day they will be in therapy or a small group complaining about me. I see it as, I am at least earning their complaints. The arrow does have a switch at the bottom, so it doesn't have to be lit all the time. The B and frame were naked wood pieces from Michael's that I painted myself.

The art is a piece I did back in 2013 when I was designing for Artistcellar. An absolutely fabulous company with great quality stencils and art supplies.

I call this piece "Bright Beginnings". It has always been one of my favorite pieces.

I hope this inspires you to pull out your favorite pieces and to actually hang them on the wall. If you do not love your work enough to display it, how can you expect others to do it?

Gods blessings to you all.
